Welcome to a new adventure
Every week, Squirrels grow and learn their way through lots of different games and activities.
The one-hour sessions are a brilliant opportunity for young people to take their first step into being part of Scouts, and get ready for the adventure of school too.
Sessions are packed with outdoors activities, fun, games, badges, laughter, and so much more to help our youngest members learn the skills they need for life.
Squirrels in Stevenage
Not all Groups run Squirrels – so far we are pleased to have two Squirrel Dreys, at 2nd Datchworth, and St Nicholas.
Demand is extremely high and spaces are limited by the number of leaders we have – none of it would be possible without the amazing volunteer leaders who plan and deliver the programme.
We are hopeful that soon with more adult volunteers, we will be able to welcome more Squirrels across Stevenage.

The earliest a young person can start at Squirrels is when they turn four; you may wish to register your interest ahead of time.
And it’s not just for young people! If you can spare one hour a week or a month to help out, we’d love to hear from you. No special skills or prior experience needed, and you can make a world of difference – it’s super rewarding, and fun too.
