Canyon Activity Centre

The Canyon is an exciting, flexible activity centre in Stevenage – perfect for adventurous experiences, skills-building, or just a great day out. Our facilities are available for hire by youth groups, schools, community groups, companies, organisations and private individuals.

Main hall & kitchen

The main building features:

  • A 10m x 10m hall – ideal for indoor activities or floor-sleeping (max 40 people)
  • Free WiFi
  • Fully-equipped kitchen suitable for up to 30 people, and includes a domestic cooker, freezer, fridge, microwave and dishwasher.
Outdoor space & camping grounds
  • Small grassed area for outdoor activities or camping (approx. 10 tents)
  • Parking available for up to 10 vehicles on-site, with more nearby parking options at Fairlands (‘South’ or ‘Showground’ car park on Broadhall way, opposite the football grounds, or Fairlands Valley Park main car park off Six Hills Way)
  • Recently refurbished campfire circle
  • Just a 10-minute walk to Fairlands Valley Lakes for water-based activities

Archery Range or Mobile Archery

Our Archery Team can hold archery sessions at our range at the Canyon Activity Centre, or they can provide the activity at your location (subject to suitability).

Rifle Shooting

Why not come and test your shooting skills at The Canyon’s indoor shooting range. Available to book for Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers 7 days a week.

If you are intending using the site or premises for other purposes such as a fundraising event, parents’ open day, AGM or any other event, or if you are a private individual, please contact us for pricing.
