Each Scout Group is led by a Lead Volunteer, who manages a team of volunteers with various roles. Some of these volunteers are involved in ‘frontline’ Scouting (you may know them as your Beaver Leader, Cub Leader etc.) and others work behind the scenes as supporters and Group Trustees.

Why not join us?
You don’t need any special skills, experience, or even a lot of time. If you can spare just an hour a week or a month, you too can make a difference to the lives and development of young people.
There’s a reason why 140,000 volunteers across the UK hop in week after week, year after year. It’s rewarding, it’s fun, it builds Skills for Life.
Our Scout Groups
We have nine Groups running across Stevenage, Knebworth, and Datchworth.
District Team
Our District has a team of committed volunteer managers who ensure that adult volunteers and young people are supported across Stevenage.
Trustee Board
The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together, as charity trustees, to make sure Scouts is run safely and legally. At the heart of their role is a focus on strategy, performance and assurance.
Scouting Structure
Across the UK, we’re proud to be a single family of Scouts, arranged in different groups and units across our regions and nations. The Scout Group is the basic unit of organisation, based in a local community. Multiple Groups make up a District, and so on… find out more about how it all fits together.
