Our dedicated HQ is conveniently located right next to Sainsbury’s Magpie Crescent, offering both members and the public a versatile, welcoming venue for activities, events, and meetings.
A flexible and functional space
At the centre of the building is a spacious main hall, which can comfortably accommodate up to 120 people. The hall can be divided into two separate spaces (approximately 1/3 and 2/3 of the full hall), offering flexibility for different types of events or breakout sessions.
Kitchen facilities
The building is well-equipped for catering:
- Main kitchen (accessible from the larger hall area) with a 5-ring cooker, large oven, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave – suitable for preparing meals for around 40 people
- Smaller kitchenette at the smaller end of the main hall, perfect for light refreshments
Tech & connectivity
The venue includes:
- WiFi access
- Projector and screen (located in the larger section of the main hall)
Outdoor space
To the rear of the building is a large grassed area (including a nature pond), ideal for outdoor activities, games, and camping.
Convenient location & parking
Conveniently located next to Sainsbury’s and the Poplars community buildings, with ample free parking in the adjacent car park.
Rates
Our HQ is available for hire at the following rates:
- Weekdays: £20 per hour
- Weekends: £20 per hour
(Minimum booking: 3 hours)
Please note that our District HQ is not available for hire for children’s parties. If you’re looking for somewhere to host a birthday celebration, we can offer the Canyon Activity Centre.
