Who are Cubs?
Cubs are young people, aged 8 to 10½, who:
- Master new skills and try new things
- Have fun and go on adventures
- Are curious about the world around them
- Help others and make a difference
Cubs gather weekly in their Cub Packs. Meetings consist of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors. Being a Cub is about making the most of what you have, wherever and whoever you are.

Cubs in Stevenage
All our Groups in Stevenage run thriving Cub Packs – some even have more than one Pack, that’s how popular Cubs are. Cubs get to learn so many different skills, explore new activities, and go on amazing adventures, thanks to our dedicated volunteer leaders (the main Cub leader is often called ‘Akela’, after the leader of the wolf pack in the Jungle Book).

And it’s not just for young people! If you can spare one hour a week or a month to help out, we’d love to hear from you. No special skills or prior experience needed, and you can make a world of difference – it’s super rewarding, and fun too.
