Who are Beavers?
Beavers are young people, aged 6 to 8, who:
- Master new skills and try new things
- Have fun and go on adventures
- Are curious about the world around them
- Help others and make a difference
Every week, they meet in Beaver Colonies to hop, skip and jump their way through lots of different games and activities – achieving anything they set their minds to, and having lots of fun along the way.
Beavers in Stevenage
All our Groups in Stevenage run thriving Beaver Colonies – some even have more than one Colony, that’s how popular Beavers are. Going to Beavers is such a great experience, our teams of volunteer leaders are brilliant at organising sleepovers and camps (and campfires), archery, cooking, hikes, and so much more.

And it’s not just for young people! If you can spare one hour a week or a month to help out, we’d love to hear from you. No special skills or prior experience needed, and you can make a world of difference – it’s super rewarding, and fun too.
