District Scout Around Town Challenge
The Around Town Challenge is a one-day event of local exploration and fun challenges for the Scout section. Teams of between 4 and 7 scouts travel around Stevenage by bus and foot, completing activities and this year there will be a mystery to solve on the way around.
Four Scout HQs around town offer activities as well as providing refreshments. Challenges always include archery and rifle shooting and then a selection of challenges that vary each year. Previously these included a pictionary hike, cooking twists over a fire, making a knotting board and a camping stove challenge.
The days challenges end with the teams arriving back at the District Scout HQ for a sausage and chip dinner.
The Around Town Challenge trophy is presented to the winning team. Are you up to the challenge? Well come along and take part in the Around Town Challenge!
