National (UK HQ) Policies
The Scout Association has set out key policies that apply to all areas and activities across UK Scouting. Everyone who is involved in Scouting is required to act in accordance with these policies, which set out how we can provide safe and inclusive scouting, in line with our purpose and values.
The Policy, Organisation, and Rules (POR) is the authoritative document that outlines how the Scout Association is organised, managed, and governed. The POR defines the structure, rules, and policies for all levels of the organisation, from local groups to the national level, covering topics from uniforms and awards, to insurance and finances.
District (Local) Policies
Stevenage District has in place a number of local policies, applicable to all members and Scout Groups across the district, as well as members of the public who come into contact with Scouting. We are in the process of reviewing and updating our policies, which will be made available online as soon as they are ready. In the meantime, please contact the District leadership team for any queries.
