Can girls join Scouts?

Yes! Girls have been welcomed into the Movement since 1976 and by 1992 were allowed to join all youth sections. Scouting in the UK has been fully co-educational since 2007. Some of the very first Scoutmasters were women, even way back in 1909. Today, close to 29% of youth members are girls, with 43% of the adult volunteers identifying as female.
