Stevenage District Scout Council


Due to Covid-19, Stevenage Scouting is following the advice of The Scout Association.

Currently, the Scout Association has announced that Scouting is operating at the 'Amber' level.

This means that small groups are permitted to take part in activities outdoors whilst meeting several conditions.

Indoor activities are only permitted to take place following specific guidelines and approval.

No overnight residential activitives are permitted to take place.

Online meetings, activities and events are still being organised by some groups and sections within Stevenage.

Our buildings at Poplars and Canyon will be open from 1st August for external hirers following strict Covid-19 Secure guidelines.

Harmer Green Scout Camp Site - CANCELLED

Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 restrictions Colonel Woods will not be taking place this year.  Depending on interest, there may be some Scout challenges to complete at home over the weekend.  Check-out this page nearer the time for more information.

Colonel Woods, the District Scout Camping Challenge is an opportunity to camp as a Patrol, setting up your own camp, cooking, firelighting and loads of fun besides. Family and leaders are welcome to visit on Saturday evening to enjoy the camp-fire and a burger.

The programme will include:

Wide Game

Camp gadget building

Axe and Saw Work

Patrol Cooking

Patrol Challenge

Firelighting and cooking on a fire

A relaxing Saturday evening around the camp fire
